Brian Parry
Brian Parry has held the position of the Al Shaheen Adventure Director since February 2008 and comes from a background of being an Outdoor Centre Manager and a highly skilled Outdoor Practitioner who provides training opportunities for personal development, through the medium of adventure training. Brian has been involved in outdoor adventure activities since his early school days, from which a passion for the outdoors developed and has continued through sharing the development of other peoples potential through adventure activities.
Brian served a full career in the British Army where he began his career as a communicator and then spent the last 15 years as a Physical and Adventure Training specialist, operating in a range of diverse roles from preparing large Regiments of combat troops for the physical and mental demands of battle, to organising school and youth groups on citizenship projects to leading small specialist teams on expeditions in remote locations.
He considers his current role as a privileged position, to be able to manage a large team of professional multi disciplined Facilitators in a unique country, with diverse cultural and physical environments.
As a skilled personal development facilitator Brian has designed and delivered training to a wide range of teams and individuals to improve performance and productivity. He is committed to sharing the benefits of outdoor adventure training with current and future clients.
Dave Norris
Dave served in the British army for 23 years. He has worked in various centers throughout his military career training a vast aray of individuals.
On leaving the forces he freelanced as a technical adviser to various companies and schools.He has worked in private schools as a teacher and in two schools with disadvantaged children running the outdoor departments.
He has climbed and worked in a wide variety of countries around the world. Dave is now one of the senior instructors within Al Shaheen Adventure.
